The Tabulans are a cockroach-like species originating from Tabula ii, but they moved to Avicen thousands of years ago. They have exoskeletons which range in colour tones from grey to brown with orange and red not being uncommon.
It is very hard to tell males and females apart with both being generally bulky and growing to up to 6’.
They live for about 150 years but their medical technology can sustain them until about 200 years old.

They tend to wear clothes similar to human and near-humans but in larger sizes.

They are very technologically advanced but their technology isn’t widely spread due to not many of them travelling very far out of the system. Their advances are mostly in the genetic and medial field along with many technologies used for exploration such as drills, gravity projectors and power sources.

Their language, Tabulan is a series of clicks which sounds much more like a language humans are used to than the languages of Verpine or other insectoid species.

They tend to be very stubborn politically and individually, loving self-sufficiency as a group, but persuade individuals to share their developments to help the group. There are not many Tabulans who like the Imperial occupation but they do exist.
